Brad Sherman Prints
Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to browse this work and buy a print, whatever tools they use to get around the web. This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What's in place
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and heading structure, so screen readers can navigate by section.
- Text descriptions (alt text) on artwork and images.
- Full keyboard operability — browsing, choosing a size, adding to cart, and checking out work without a mouse.
- Visible focus indicators and status messages announced to assistive technology (for example, when an item is added to the cart).
- High-contrast, resizable text; the layout holds together when zoomed to 200%.
- No autoplaying media, flashing content, or time limits.
- Checkout runs on Stripe's hosted payment page, which Stripe maintains for accessibility.
Known limits
This is an independent, one-person shop, and parts of the site may fall short despite the intent. If something doesn't work with your screen reader, keyboard, or other assistive technology, that's a bug — I want to know about it.
Tell me
Email orders@bradshermanprints.com and describe what happened and what you were using (browser and assistive technology, if you know them). I read everything myself and will do my best to fix real barriers quickly — and if you're stuck mid-order, I'll take your order by email instead.
